Lenox Library Association, Roche Reading Park, 18 Main Street, Map 43 Parcel 173, erect 6’ tall fence and to remove dying hemlocks and to plant along fence line, base of parking lot fence and the ramp border.
Making the presentation was Sharon Hawkes who is the librarian. She told the Commission of Library’s plans for improvement of Roche Reading Park. The addition of the fence will block the view of the garbage revetment and parking lot for the neighboring restaurants and shops. At south end of the fence, there will be a passage area that connects those restaurants and the parking lot. The privacy fence, painted a dark green, will have a lattice top.
Lynn Sutton of the Village Improvement Committee was in attendance and she told the Commission that this winter the VIC will be working with the Lenox Garden Club to attempt to get grant money that will be used for improvements to the park.
ES made a motion to approve the project as presented and CC seconded the motion. The Commission voted to approve 3-0.
Elyse Etling, Pronto, 18D Franklin St., Map 43 Parcel 190, sign. Applicant failed to appear at August 2, 2011 meeting. Cooking school and café
Ms. Etling presented her sign and said that it will be placed on the existing bracket. CC made a motion to approve the sign as proposed and ES seconded the motion. The Commission voted to approve 3-0.
Minutes: CC made a motion to approve the minutes of August 2, 2011 and ES seconded the motion. The Commission voted to approve 3-0.
ES made a motion to adjourn at 6:05 pm and CC seconded the motion. The Commission voted to adjourn 3-0.
